Corona Better World

One of the biggest worldwide issues nowadays is the plastic pollution which manifests in different places and forms. The beach, being one of the most common sources of pollution is just one part of the problem, but meeting with some friends to clean up or joining a small organization is just not enough.

So how can we actually create change and give people the opportunity to participate without taking them on a guilt trip and actually creating engagement?

Our proposal to this issue, The Corona Card:

Simple as it is the Corona Card looks as a regular credit card. The idea behind it is to simply deposit all the plastic that people can or want to into our recycling vending machine. As they do it they earn Corona Cash which can be then redeemed for more Coronas or even bigger rewards.

And of course, since this is all an effort to be more plastic conscious, people can decide between having their recycled plastic Corona Card, or to simply get it digital via Apple Pay, Google Pay or else.

And in another effort to decrease the quantity of plastic used at the beach and other areas, we had to do something about water bottles. Yes, water bottles. Even though Corona is a beer brand, we know that they have a real advantage over water brands in terms of being an environmental friendly brand and it's the glass. So why wouldn't we take advantage of that and make our beer bottles reusable for water? With that solution, instead of buying a bottle of water every time you get thirsty, you can just use the same bottle that you already had and even keep it. In order to do that we wanted to change the cap so people can actually close and open it easily.
